I went with my wife up to Lost Creek today for my birthday. The weather was beautiful and it was a truly relaxing day. We started out in our little canoe at the boat ramp at about 8:30 and made our way to the north inlet. then we made our way to the Dam where we dropped anchor and fished for a bit. At about 1:30 we called it a day with not even a bite. We tried several lures trolled behind the canoe at different speeds and depths. I even resorted to power bait and worms. Nada. Zilch. Zip Zero Squat. Nothing. Like I said, Beautiful Day at Lost Creek, Being with the wife was all worth it though. we don't get much time alone these days.

Thanks for the report. Always nice to get out for a little time together. Do you have electronics on your canoe? If not a fishing buddy by humminbird would be a great addition.

Next time try a fly behind a bubble, usually in the Spring the fish are on the surface. Did you see any jumping? Sounds like a nice day to getaway from the crowds, wish my wife liked to fish. Did you see any deer or turkeys on the way going in?

Even if she doesn't she should enjoy a day out floating on the water.[cool]

I do have a fish finder, but unfortunately, I found that the chord going to the unit had been damaged and wouldn't work.[frown] Still a beautiful day though.
