Weather didn't shut down the river!
#1
Well, since this weather has shut down all my favorite late spring fishing holes, I decided to hit the Weber. I almost forgot how beautiful and peaceful it is wading down a stream all alone with nothing but mother nature to keep you occupied.
I was rewarded for my efforts too! The river gave up some beautifully colored rainbows and a couple feisty browns!
Had decent success stripping streamers until my wrist couldn't handle the fly rod anymore, then the white tube jig and f-5 rapala finished the day out.
All and all, it was a great day! Returned around a dozen fish and brought home a limit to feed the fam.

Nice report. I was in the mtn green area for work today and fished a small stretch for about 15 minutes with rapalas. I caught a good brown that measured 20" and was solid. I have hooked quite a few browns this year with rapalas and flies pt's, scuds, and midges but i never get into any bows. Is one stretch better than another for bows? I fish it from Rockport to Coalville and down to the mouth of the canyon and no bows? Any advice for a bow for the smoker? I'm hitting it tomorrow, hope the rain keeps people elsewhere.

The Weber gets fished pretty hard, they can be hard to find. When I go out, I do a lot of wading/hiking and cover a lot of ground! The stretch of river above devil's slide can be good and has some nice fish, but I have also caught them by the golf course in Riverdale...

They plant bows through Riverdale but I've never caught one anywhere else on the river either.
