Millrace Pond on lunch break 5.11

Just hit Millrace pond. Huge carp patrolling the waters near the surface in groups of 2-5. After trying combos of worms and powerbait off the bottom with no results, I decide to try a couple spinners before I need to head back to work. Brought in an 8 inch rainbow on a gold/red spinner. Next cast I hook into something significantly larger. I loosen the drag and let it run for a while- stupid me! It wraps around one of those tire structures out there. Don't know if that fish's parents will be happy about it's new piercing when he gets home tonight.

A regular there thinks I may have been into a bass. Who knows. He told me Millrace is home to biggun' that everyone is hoping to catch.

Fun lunch break. Way better than a trip to McDs for a cheeseburger.

nice post, was at millrace on my lunch break a couple weeks ago and caught some really nice sized cats, and some planter sized rainbows also saw a guy pullout a 6lb large mouth, just curious based on the are I think I might be your guy's new insurance agent (jake from state farm lol
