Logan River
#1
Planning to try the Logan River tomorrow for the first time. Has anyone been up there recently? I am relatively new to fly fishing and am hoping to have some success.

I like to check the hatch charts before I go somewhere new. Gives you an idea of what flies maybe there.

Roundrocks flyfishing is the shop that reports that river to the DWR. They have been reporting high and swift water levels (report from the 12th), give them a call before you show up and realize there is way to wade [mad].
Turn over some rocks in the stream when you get there and look for what insects are around in the air, on the water, in the water. I like to give the stream a good look over before I jump in, sets the mood.

Either way right now streamers should be the money IMO earlier and later in the day 24/7.

Elk hair caddis with a renegade dropper usually works. Temple fork and up is good this time of year.
