Went out today just to get a limit of crappie for folks at work and knew where I could find some keepers. I figured that the front coming through would shut them off so, today was the day. The fish were shallow at daybreak but I had to hit some deeper brush after the sun came up. Got my 15th keeper by around 9 and figured, why not cast for some bass? Fished in a well known spawning slough and on about my 4th cast had a 7.5lber. Hooked and lost a small one going down the bank but ended up getting into a group of fish in stumps in about 4-5 foot of water. Had two more good sized ones, a 5lber and a 4.5. 3/4 oz Rattle traps are what I tend to through and they got the big one and one of the other good ones I caught on a pointer that BShaf had sent to me. He was here last year on a trip from his home in Maryland and caught an 8lb 11 oz monster back in WT on a pointer just like it. Great baits! I will post a pic later.

Great day for big bites, only had one non keeper crappie and no non keeper bass that made it to the boat.
