2006 Honda 115 hp 4 stroke?
#1
As I type this I am on my way to southern Utah to look at a 2006 Lund fisherman. It seems to be exactly what I am looking for except that it has this Honda motor. You can find the ad for this boat on KSL. It was put up for sale about 13 days ago and is listed at $18,500 down in Hurricane. Do any of you have experience with this motor? from what I have read it is a bit heavier than all the other 115's and is much more difficult for service and maintenance in Utah with very few dealers. How do you feel about this price for this boat? Am I better off paying more and getting a better motor? Thanks in advance!

Looks like a very nice boat, what does the NADA say about the price? Just noticed you posted this yesterday, so how did it look when you got down there? Did you take it for a ride? I've known several people that have owned smaller Honda motors and they are pretty trouble free but if you ever have a problem, you will likely have to travel a ways to find a dealer. If it hasn't sold in two weeks, there is either something wrong with it or it is priced too high, my guess is that it is priced a little high.

I got them to come down to $17400. Turned over the motor and it started right away and sounded great. Sounds like Rogers performance marine in centerville can do all the work on the motor. They are in hurricane Utah so I attribute the boat not selling yet to being away from the wasatch front. Closest to what I have wanted that had been posted in months. Just don't want to overpay for it.

For that kind of boat that isn't a bad deal and if Rogers marine does certified Honda motor work then thats great. I was thinking you might have to go to Colo, to find a certified Honda dealer/mechanic. With out knowing the details of the motor and trailer the NADA list it as $12,707. It likely would list for more, if that info was added but here is what I came up with:

Here is a link to to start page where you can list all that info, if you know it, unless you have already done that.

Boats in utah are always listed higher than NADA prices but you can use that info to help bargain for a lower price.
