Howdy all,
I'm headed to Jordanelle this Thursday morning to try and locate some Smallies. It's been about 3 years since I fished there, so if anyone's had success from the boat, I'm all ears.
Also, is there a top water bite right now? Any help will be accepted.

I was there this morning. The bass bite was tough. I caught 6; the biggest was about 13-14 inches. I did not get any hits on top water. I suspect that the fishing was better as the storm came in later in the day but I was not there.
The trout was active in the morning, but I didn't try for them. The perch was active too.
All of my fish was caught on perch patterns.
The water dropped about a foot over night so that may have affected the fishing. We also had a storm yesterday evening.
Thursday is a different day, it may be better fishing for you.

The perch were about 8 - 9 inches long.
