Youtube can provide the basic "How TO" DIY instructions - it is really easy if you pick up an impellor kit or just the impellor - depending on your motor.
Just remember to take your VIN or serial number off the motor to get the parts.
If you search you can find past posts of recommended SLC mechanics...

I just did three impellers. 150hp Yamaha, 25hp Johnson, and 8hp Honda. I bought all three of the impellers on line for a fraction of the cost of what you could get them at a store or a dealer. All three were original manufacturer parts. They were all really easy to do. In two of the motors I replaced the entire water pump housing, gaskets and impeller. All I needed was a simple socket set. You can really save yourself a ton of money this way.
