What a great day for fishing yesterday was.

We put in at Grasshopper yesterday evening and the cranking battery was DEAD right off the bat.emoDoh I'm not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, because we certainly made the best of the trolling motor around the grass. We trolled to a grass point and they started schooling off/on and didn't stop till dusk. We fished about 4 hours and never moved the boat 10'.

She hooked up with her first top water fish ever after it inhaled a pop r soon as it hit the water then put on a air show. She wanted to weigh it, but like my cranking battery the scale was also dead. I'd say a solid 4lbs, but by the time we got to the house it was more like 5 1/2 emoLaugh .

I lost count on how many white bass and largemouth we caught, our biggest 3 would have probably been around 12lbs. She also caught a nice sized white bass (I think Y'all call them "boat paddles&quotWink.

Baits used were everything from a pop r to a swim jig.

Think I'm going to let someone else run the TM next time, seems like the bigger fish like the back of the boat the best.
