Strawberry Saturday morning 8-22-15
#1
Not a bad day... Soldier Creek side, far side from the dam, got on the water at 7:00 am with my wilderness13 pontoon. Trolling with Rapala's (shad/rainbow/ others) brought 8 rainbows in and loss a couple head shakers... Been going to the berry for 3 years now and never seen guys out water skiing ( really HATE those guys making the water rough) The old wind came up about 11:30 and had to get my little boat off the water.
"Love Strawberry" great fishing lake.... if you better place to fish, love to hear where to go.
Thanks

I saw the those guys skiing also. Couldn't have been much fun on the choppy water. I was on my toon and had about the same luck as you with black and brown woolly buggers until the wind came up.

I was there on Saturday too only on the Strawberry side. I fished north of Mud Creek and along the Knolls area. I landed 7 Cutts all in the slot. I was in the water at about 6:30 am and it was windy but manageable for trolling. It got worse around 10 am and I would go upwind and troll with the wind. That worked until the whitecaps came up and I got off the water at 12:30pm. Other that the wind it was a good day. It was interesting that the west coast wildfire smoke was up there too.

We were in Denver Sat. and Sun. Smoke was worse there than here.
