Spent a few hours at the inlet this morning. Early the wiper had been boiling and fishing was great. As the morning went on catching has slowed down quite a bit and now most of the fish are pretty small. I'm headed home for now, I might grab the boat and see how the rest of the water is to fish.
Good luck fishing!

Early bird gets the wiper I guess! Sounds like a blast.

Boils have been few and far between this year at Willard but it seems fishing early or late is usually the key to seeing them in most years. Were the boils constant or just spotty? How long did they last? Thanks for the info.

Wondering where's the inlet? Is that the river by the south marina?

The boils at the inlet were just spotty. They'd appear for 20 seconds or so and then move on. I think the fresh water flowing into the inlet area attracts a lot of attention. I've certainly seen it boil there more often than on the open water.

Yes, its where the canal (river) comes into the bay along side the south marina

OK, I see, I think you are right about the fresh water and the water seems to be a little clearer now as well, so that can help as well.
