Minersville Reservoir
#1
Hey guys,

It's been since last ice fishing season since I posted. Just wanted to post an update on Minersville Reservoir down here. Went with my buddy Tom and caught a few rainbows. Most were 14-18 inches. Fishing was slow-steady. Had a fish on about every 20 minutes. Caught all mine on a black spinner. Tom caught his on a big kastmaster.

Here is a video of catching the fish, please excuse the lack of a net, I need to buy one as I just have a flyfishing net right now, and the treble hooks tend to mess it up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFm3L9EC5tA. (Also found out I had the waterproof case on my gopro so the sound is awful)

There was about a half inch of ice that quickly melted on the North East side of the reservoir.

Looking forward to ice fishing Panguitch Lake, Fish Lake, and Otter creek this year.

Thanks for the report. I went with a net that was rubber. Great for releasing the fish and hooks not getting caught in the net itself.

Sounds good! I'm debating on waiting to get one next year since the next fishing I do will be on the ice, and I'm a broke college student.

Thanks for the report, you did OK without a net
I did not see any ducks or geese in your boat just a gun

Too good of weather for duck hunting, we were able to get a bufflehead and a pintail early in the morning. I didn't want to show that in the video since I just wanted to highlight the fishing.
