Well, I picked the wrong two days to fish at Flaming Gorge. Winds never seemed to get below 25 mph and we had extended gusts up to 50 mph.
A nice gentleman from the Lucerne Marina drove down to the ramp as we were leaving and told us they were observing us in preparation for a capsize and needed rescue. We literally rode a wave crest for nearly a mile.
My Terrova could not hold us over any macs, although we could see them. Our jigs must have looked like F22 fighters flying by them.
We ran into friend and guide Clark Sabey at Browning's café after the debacle of a day. Clark of course had a great day in spite of the weather. I think I will bag the boat next trip and go out with Clark. [cool]
