The ice fishing experience!
#1
He's waxing it once, he's waxing it twice, hoping his ice shack won't be naughty but nice, ice fishing is coming...to town![Image: happy.gif]

So got my Frabill waxed today. Do any of you guys wax the bottom of your sleds? I was recommended Zumi's. Last year was the first time I have used and it cut the drag by at least half. I warmed up the stick, rubbed on the bottom and then with a heat gun melted until clear, it sets up beautifully. Here is a picture of one side done and the other working on.

So........
Frabill sled waxed. (check)
New line on all rods.(check)
Money unknowingly pilfered from paycheck, wifes purse, under couch cushions, so I can go this winter.(check)
Plenty of Scooby snacks.(check)
All gear loaded and ready to go. (check)
All for a day out in the freezing cold, pristine sites, and fishing with good friends. That fish will probably cost about 50 dollars a pound when all said and done.
PRICELESS!
HAPPY ICE FISHING EVERYBODY! WAHOO.......

I wax my sleds in July. Much easier to apply the wax when the sled is already hot in 100 degrees of sunshine.
