Starvation visit
#1
A friend and I fished Starvation yesterday from our tubes. We fished from the boat ramp over and along the face of the dam. We used fly tackle with fast sinking lines and size 6-8 bead head leeches and crystal buggers. We fished from 10:30 until about 3:00. We caught one perch, one brown, and the rest were rainbows. The water temperature was 44 degrees and the visibility in the water of about 8' - 9'. The reservoir level is at 84% with no ice near the dam or main park campground. The State Parks guys said there is ice in the Knight Hollow/Salertatus Wash area. The fishing was not fast but the winds were calm and temps in the low 40's.

We got a bonus on the way home, bighorn sheep!
