I have monitored this group for a while but new to post. Have some family in Pocatello for the holidays and would like to show the kids a good time ice fishing but don't know where good ice/good fishing is. Can anyone give me some pointers on a spot relatively close to poky?

The reports from Devils Creek have been better and it is closer . I think there is a city pond just south of town . But I have not heard any reports from there .

I haven't heard any reports, so I don't know on ice or fishing conditions, but there are two fishing ponds in Pocatello. On the south end of town is Edson Fichter Pond behind the Indian Hills School and on the north end is the Wellness Complex pond near the fairgrounds.
Maybe ask at Element Outfitters, Portneuf Outfitters, or Sportsmans on conditions.
Good luck and have fun!
