Saturday, we fished that first road past Buckboard. I believe it is Road 8. The ice was at most 4" thick.

Kory did OK, Randy caught a few and I was thrilled to catch the only bite I had all day.[frown]

We fished on Sunday down near Brinegar Ranch. The ice was 5-inches thick and daytime highs on the ice didn't get above 0F. There were folks spread-out the length of the reservoir and the lowest I saw someone fishing was just upstream of the canyon leading into Pipeline. We fished shallow that day, catching several rainbows and a few cutthroat in 10-20 ft of water on small jigs tipped with Gulp or meal worm.

We did notice a couple of big pressure ridges that formed in the main channel between our start and finish. That's always an issue on the Gorge so take the necessary precautions.

Good luck, Ryno

Sounds a little rough. What species were you guys going after and getting?

Mostly macks and if a rainbow or kokanee happened by we would have gladly caught them also.
