Went up to hyrum again. Fished a little deeper than last time, about 50'.
Iced almost a limit of perch with various jigs and waxies.

Was the size any better out deeper? I only found 7-8"ers in 12 FOW... Plus I was no where near limiting... I guess the only problem of fishing that deep is you have to keep everything you pull up because they puff up their bladders from that depth... Reminds ya of ocean fishing... Thanks for the report... Ya I think for the most part they were bigger. Not by much though.... It made for a lot of work with little reward ha!

They are the mourning doves of the sea, that's for sure. Unless you go to Cascade, but at Hyrum you earn each bite. Boy I can't decide where to try tomorrow? Hyrum, Porcupine or Bear Lake. Risk vs Reward I guess, less risk for lower reward or high risk for possible big reward. Wish I wasn't so fat so I could tread thin ice without drowning. Maybe the wind will clear it off by morning anyway. Hey are the Hyrum edges good and safe to cross now? Thanks J

The edges were frozen but i could see where people took a swim so i was kinda sketched out! I used a board ha ha. This was over by the dam.

Just read the hrs for the park are 8am to 5pm. Can we fish there earlier? Am planning on parking at the main parking lot by the ramp.

I went early last week and didn't get a hit until about 8:00 anyway, but it gave me a chance to move to where I wanted to fish. I started in a bad spot, but my next spot was a little better. Good luck. J
