Ice be gone
#1
This is a great time to head to Powell, the fish are big and fat and most of the time easy to catch..
Rooms rates are better then in summer, we are heading down this Friday and Saturday again all trips have been great this year with lots of fish..

Will try to take more pictures this time if the fish will let me..[sly][Wink]

Be very careful Cliff. The ice is so thin you can hardly see it! [Wink]
Good luck.

this reminded me of that time that you had a rope tied to your ankles while looking down a hole in the ice at your ATV sitting on the bottom of Yuba.

No wonder you don't like the ice!!

Just curious, what would you have done had you fallen in? With a rope around your ankles, it might have been difficult to get your head to come up out of the water!

Bring on the water! Was at East Canyon on Saturday and the old dam is about 8 feet out of the water, I didn't even know there was an old EC dam!
As far as Powell...how does one go about loading up on them stripers? I'm seriously going through wiper withdrawals and will totally pull the boat down if I had any confidence in catching a bunch!

Like most of the time when you spout of you are wrong, first no rope is tied to me..The ATV is what I am tying the rope to, and ATV roll over and the wheels keep them a float..
Now you know..Good luck next time..[pirate]

Look up my other post it shows the lure and the only place I have seen them around SLC is at Fish Tech..
We go out of Bull Frog, we go to the bigger canyons and head up them and look for any side canyons that go back in over 100 yards look with your depth finder for the fish in water from 90' to as low as 40'..

We have found them that way in almost every spot we looked at in past trips..We are heading down this Friday, in the past trips we would get around 50 or more fish in a 4 hour time some up over 10 lb..
