Flaming Gorge Today and this weekend.

We can meet up if you're ice fishing here. I'm in Manila now and will be ice fishing today and this weekend. I'm wearing camouflage hunting clothing and will be on foot on the ice without taking my tent. It's a nice sunny blue sky day with no wind, but if it gets cold, my outer jacket will be blaze orange. I use a light blue Nills auger. Come visit or invite me to fish near your location. I'll have my tablet to view replies and private messages live with Verizon connectivity.

Advice requested: I've used my Marcum LX-9 to much less than it's full potential, so now I'd like to fish where there is some depth and fish attracting structure. Location suggestions sent by private message, too.

I'm fishing alone, but those who want to see it's performance in action are invited to fish with me. I like fishing friends, so have no concern regarding solitude as I regularly get plenty and my preference is learning from others. I have a lot of lures to try.

Results: No fish from late afternoon fishing to dusk. A small group nearby had already caught five when I arrived and left because the bite was off. I fished near here:

From our underwater camera topic, this is exactly what I saw (the fish were there, but not biting):

"One of the frustrating things is you can sometimes see a lot of fish go by and either ignore the lure/bait or just take a look. At least you can say there are fish down there at times."

It helps knowing you aren't changing lures with fish not being there. They were there and saw my lures.

I'm here for the weekend and will likely try again late morning.

The burbot Bash is going on and several hundred yards away there is a group fishing in tents probably all night for those space alien looking things.
