Looks like you did good. It's been a fun fishery this winter and close for those living in the Ogden area.

I did a driveby today just to check things out. Didn't fish, but just drove down to Port Ramp and scanned for anglers. Saw only one tent north of Cemetery Point and another in the Narrows. That was all I saw, but there could have been individuals I missed. It was 15°F at 1 pm.

Not sure what you have left to learn - great catch! I really appreciate your camera look at what is really happening on our fish finders - we can see there are a lot fish down there and we wait in anticipation for any indication of a bite and sometimes nothing happens then they're gone and we wait again for the next sign of fish activity seems you only get one shot if any indication of a nibble occurs - yes the bite is extremely light.
Thanks again... we just need to keep practicing!

Hey how much slush is on the ice? I'm thinking about heading up there after work for the night fishing. Thanks!

No slush last nite (Thurs) We started at 5:30, no bites 'til 6:30, and the bite seems to be getting a bit more scarce for me compared to 3 weeks ago...I did get 15, but that was for 3 hours...Good company, trying to teach a few younger fishermen the fine art of detecting a Pineview Crappie Bite...the 3 of them caught a total of 6, and these are experienced fishermen (trout, bass, etc.) but the point I'm making is that this crappie fishing is a whole different game, and if someone is reading these posts, putting in the time, changing presentations occassionally, and being very patient, and fast reacting, you will catch them...maybe not that "Ya, I limited out in an hour" that some guys talk about, but is 'limiting out' what we're always after anyhow? Have fun...and Guluk...

It really depends on where you are fishing, some areas have slush that is a inch or two deep, some or most areas are fine. Sometimes you can move 20 or 30 ft and be out of it but I'm sure you can find a slush free area to fish.

Just got back after a happy morning up there. Slush seems to be right next to shore and then about 100 yards out. I went out about 200 yards and had no slush at all. Caught 10 crappie and 8 perch. The key for me was once again using a fish camera. Couldn't feel the bite but sure could see them take it. Fun times!
