I've wanted to ice fish on bear lake for a few years now, but have always talked myself out of it fearing that I would drive all that way to find out that ice isn't thick enough. Just curious where on the lake can you fish through the ice (Utah or Idaho side). Thanks.

Go to the Utah forum , there is lots of information about Bear Lake ice fishing .

They have been catching some nice fish off the weed beds in the southwest portion of the lake, but it's been slowing down lately... I'm going tomorrow to see if I can find anything that is still hungry... I'll post a report on the Utah forum tomorrow night if I do decent....
