Jordanelle again
#1
Made another quick trip up to Jordanelle. About the same as last time except the ice is getting soft. Caught about 30 fish between 2 guys with 2 good browns and the rest were hatchery pets. Hot pink ratfinke and the TubeDude pale perch seemed to be the best colors. Wax worm or meal worms. Once again they wouldnt touch nightcrawlers. About 15' of water. Fish were about a foot off bottom.

Thanks for the report Brent. Were you mainly catching bows[:/]. Sounds like you did good on the browns, any pics?

Curt most of the fish were planter size bows. Occasionally you get a bigger bow in the 16 - 19" range. Caught a couple browns one was 16 and the other a little bigger. I will post a pic of one of the browns I dont know if I took one of the bigger. Most of the rainbows were 10-12" so you catch a lot of dinks but it is still fun. The ice is no longer clear and hard, its getting that white color and kind of soft. Still plenty safe but it is that time of year for the lower elevation lakes.

Nice brown, looks like there was plenty of snow there but I bet that changed with all the rain we got yesterday. I know the snow on Rockport is going down hill fast after that rain.

Yeah the snow was staring to become slush and the snow packed road is about half asphalt,
