Ice is at least 12 inches but starting to get sketchy on some of the edges as the day warms up. Fishing was slow but of course I am the halfastfisher, what else you you expect. You might consider planks depending on where you want to get on at. Some people had 4 wheelers on it. Good luck.

Hey welcome to BFT, great report. I was there off swim beach yesterday afternoon as well. I was going to post something and ran out of time and battery, glad you gave folks a heads up. I'd second the plank idea my feet got wet getting off the ice. 8' plank will get ya on/off. I did pretty poorly yesterday as well, one perch, one planter bow. Guys next to me got 5 bows. Think it was a slow day for most on the beach. Thank you for the report. Later J

[#800000]We were there Friday as well. We got on at the boat ramp and there were to wood pallets left there for east on & off. Fishing was VERY slow. Maybe a dozen very small perch (6" tops) between two of us for 6 hours of trying and two SMALL trout. The perch were there and constantly checked our offerings but had a severe case of lock jaw.[/#800000]

[#800000]At least 4 quads came on and off the ice at the ramp with little or no problems at all. The ice thickness is still close to a foot. Should be good for at least a couple more weeks if the edge gap doesn't get too wide.[/#800000]

You just made me feel a lot better. As good as you are charming the perch, to hear you had a slow day makes me feel a lot better about my trip. I went home thinking I totally suck at perch fishing. Trying to decide why I even waste my time at Hyrum anymore. Maybe I'll give it another chance. I moved four times, which for me is double my usual and I still didn't find many fish. Thanks for posting. J

Went up and got on at swim beach, 9:30 and the edge was good. Drilled about a dozen holes fished in 32fow with nothing, moved to 24 fow, nothing, then at 26 fow some hits. Water was stained, and Fishing was slooooow, only caught 13 keeper perch. Left at one and the edge was going fast.
