#21
I have pretty much decided to go with the Nils auger which has a plate attached to prevent the blade from falling down the hole.

I don't recall but it is easily Googled. I need to sell my three augers before I purchase my new one. Besides, most places don't have them in stock yet for ice season.

Oh, I just figured you you had to order it through the company but now you have me wondering if I can get one cheaper through Amazon or Ebay[:/]. I guess I better start checking, if I want it before ice fishing season.[Wink]

I have a Nils 8" with power point attached to a Bosch 36V drill and reducing gear box. Its a pure beast getting about 100 holes on one charge through 12" of ice. I love it!

Do you have a link to that drill and is the reducing gear box part of the drill or something that you added separately.

Yeah the 36V drill is quite a bit more expensive than when I purchased it a few years ago but it has held well with no need to buy new batteries.
