We went up Thursday afternoon and came home Sunday morning, Thursday evening we got the boat on the water for an hour or so to make sure there were no issues and worked out a few kinks. Friday we managed some rainbows and a cutthroat and was a bit slower for other species, but Saturday we fished a different part of the lake that produced 9 macs and a few more rainbows. I set a new personal record for a rainbow I caught that was just shy of 23 inches and 4 pounds and the coloring was simply amazing. I was hoping to catch a fish as big as my son but didn't quite get there as you can see, next trip though.
So overall it was a decent trip and had good company, but it was definitely slower than most trips up there.

Looks like a fun trip!
I got a chuckle out of the fish / boy length comparison photo!

Before we left I jokingly told my wife I wanted to catch one as big as our son, so I just had to take a picture for comparison.

We tried for Kokanee but no luck, seemed the same story for most people but did hear of someone catching a few, from everything I have read in the past it is typically pretty slow for them early spring. We managed 6 macs jigging and 3 trolling, so that may give you an idea of what to try. Wife and son stayed home, it's too cold for them still to be out on the water.

Understand, we are headed up next weekend. I fish the pipeline a lot this time of the year and traditionally do really well. If the weather holds out it is nice with the lack of fishing pressure.

I hope you have better luck by pipeline than we did, saw very little on the sonar along there, caught most of our fish up somewhere by Buckboard. I can't really say where because it was my first time that far up with the boat and was following the guidance of someone else and am not familiar with where we were.
