Don't tell me you still have ice up there in Canada? Couple of comments, you said you drill hole straight out and diagonal from shore, then you fish each hole until you catch fish. Why not just use you electronics to check each hole for fish instead of fishing them? Also at the end of the video you were talking about your jaw jacker review. Have you every tried making your own? You can buy the release mechanism for around 3ea for $10 and make the frame out of PVC.

No we don't still have ice up here. That was from the last week of March this year. Ice went out way earlier than usual this year after a very warm winter and spring. I'm just finishing putting all the videos together cause I have some time now.
Why just use electronics in each hole when you could fish? Big perch in some of these lakes lay right on the bottom. You wont even see them on the electronics. They are not in big schools... they are usually solitary fish. Also 8-10 feet is relatively shallow and it doesn't take much for a fish to be out side of the transducer cone yet right beside the hole. Dropping a hook lets you know if there are fish in the area because they will show up pretty quick or raise off the bottom if they are in the area. If nothing I just jump to the next hole.
As for the Jaw Jackers I already have four of the actual jaw jackers and they work great so I don't have a need to build my own. Jaw jackers are so nice and compact compared to anything home made that I've seen.
Thanks for watching.
