lake mead 5/13-14

My fishn buddy came out for vsome fishing We launched our kayaks at gray light from government. Shad were easy to get and tried to find the stripers. We paddled south and finally found them so we beached the kayaks and shore fished. Total for Friday was about 20 stripers 1.5 to 3lbs. Most were caught on fresh dead shad. The best was when Sealfish(Dale) caught a 3lb15oz largemouth that I had missed with a dead shad.
Saturday we got only a few shad and headed for the same beach. Dale got three more stripers and I got hit a lot but cut off on the rocks. I did manage a nice smallmouth on dead shad.
Great days on the water. Hardly any wind.

Nice! Been reading some of the Striper Club posts on facebook and all that I have seen said the Shad have been extremely hard to come by. Good job. A successful weekend!
