Bass on Ririe
#1
Hey everyone!!
Went up to Ririe this morning and fished from about 9 to 430, slow bite in the early morning boating several perch in the first couple hours by Willow Point, then moving up to the narrows caught another 10 perch or so there before finally moving into meadow creek for some bass. they are pretty shallow right now 5 -15 ft of water, water up there is a little off color but the fish are aggressive.

they are in some tight water as well they are liking to hang right on the banks and the cliff walls...

All in all we landed over 40 bass today with the smallest at 8.5 inches up to 16 inches and 3.5 lb!! the average was 14 inches and 2.5 Lbs. the bass are Healthy!!

The perch are ranging from 8-12 inches and are probably a pound or so

The fish are eating small perch fry you hook them and as you are landing them they are "vomiting" up little 1.5 inch perch fry. maybe i should have been using small cranks Smile

Water is 58-60 degrees gettin warmer slowly.

Tight Lines everyone!!

Shallow water--1 1/2 inch perch.
Sounds like a good fly rod opportunity.

What size hook do you use to catch the little 1 1/2 inch buggers! Do you fillet them with a scalpel? Ha! Just kidding
