Had 15 min to kill at my mother-in-law townhome and decided to take my son fishing river is only less than 100 feet in her back yard. So we drove down the block a to a construction entrance to some new town homes and backed up the truck to the river and started to fish. I just set him up and casted out then went back to my truck to rig up my pole. When out of the blue i hear UHH DAD can you help me. Thinking the worst i hurried and turned only to see my son in what looked like a battle with a monster pole bender. watched him get it up to shore took a few min he is 8 and it was a fight for him but got him to the shore and WOW 26 cat. Did not even get a chance to get my pole in the water. But i am proud of him. We then got the call to come in so Landon 1 Dad none.

Thanks for sharing this story. My boy turns two next week and I am so excited to have some adventures with him like this. I'll bet that cat could pull him in! I can't wait to make some memories like this. I'm sure it is something you will cherish forever.
