I was thinking about hitting pineview at some point this weekend and was wondering if anyone has heard if the crappie are doing their thing yet. This cooler whether seems to be slowing them down a bit.

With these last few warm days has anyone been up to Pineview or know if the water temp has reached the magic number for the crappie to start doing there thing.

I fished it last Thursday, so this might be to late to help you. Crappie were way back in the brush that was 5' and deeper. I only caught males and they were supper black meaning if they were not already on beds the would be any day. Was using a small jig. Color did not seem to be that big of a deal. Water temp was 63 degrees to 65 degrees.

I was up there Saturday. It was rough. Got some bass and a muskie in the boat and one crappie. Saw a really dark one in the shadows. There were sooooooo many boats!!! I don't think I'll be back unless the water drops and I can fish isolated structure
