First/second dam Logan river

Live in ogden off for the week with my son here. Want to see him catch a fish but can't decide where to go, early fishing isn't an option. What areas are hot right now? Thinking about driving up to Logan river / first or second dam. Never fished there but love the area . Is it hot? What's some recommended luer or bait for that area?

You should be able to catch some planter rainbows, they keep the dams stocked pretty good. Use powerbait or marshmallow and salmon egg or marshmallow and worm. Find the deeper holes. The river can be good also if the runoff subsides.
