A couple days ago I decided to try my luck up here in Idaho (having just moved up here from utah) and I heard of a couple good places. I started out fishing in Henry's Fork right around Fun Farm Bridge and within 5 min. had hooked a beautiful Brown Trout just on my worm. Unfortunately I wasn't prepared for the pic so i figured it best to get him back in the water quickly rather then fumbling with a camera.
Being all excited about my quick success I was disappointed to not get a nibble for the remaining hour. I decided to pack up and seek out the next great spot I had heard of and went over to the Sand Creek ponds. The trout were a bit smaller then my first Brown, but i couldn't keep them off my rod within an 1.5 hour I had pulled out 12 rainbow and kept my limit of 6. I fed my apartment that night with some nice grilled fish. Overall it was a beautiful day on the river and ponds! Next time I will be prepared with a camera.
