I have been doing aot of stillwater fishing due to runoff and high rivers, so haven't been on moving water since early sping, well I am out of town for the 4th so I snuck over to my honey hole, well worth it although I am a little out of practice. I must have hooked 30 fish and landed less than half, although there were a few monsters that straightened hooks or broke me off. I decided I need a 7 wt. my 6 wt. is not cutting it in heavy wind, heavy water and heavy fish. Anyways I was a little disappointed in the crowds, I saw two wade fisherman a 1/4 mile away and saw 3 drift boats...holiday weekends! A few nice Bows' and Browns.

Thanks for the report and pics.
I too haven't fished moving water for awhile, I'm getting too lazy.[:/]
I can't believe you didn't run into more folks on the water.

Nice work! If you're fishing where I think you are I'm up there all the time and and always looking for people willing to also drive up as a shuttle (I have a 14' drift boat) and there is usually an extra spot on board. If you're interested PM me sometime!
