Today Tracy Robinson and I fished the Goose Pond Bait and Tackle "Wildcat Open Tournament", and even with it as hot as it was the turn out for the tourney was great. We started out using a Bull Shad n Bull Gill around scattered grass and was able to catch several sloid fish up to 4 lbs. We then moved out to some 8-10 ft. deeper grass areas with 6 1/2" Producer Swimbaits and "WOW", Tracy put a 7.48 lb. "Big-G Hawg" in the boat, and after a few more minutes we were able to catch a couple over 4 and another over 5 to give us a 2nd. place finishing 3 fish limit weight of 16.94 lbs., with "Rooster" winning with just over 17 lbs. Tracy's "Big-Un" also got us 1st. place Big Fish, so not a bad day for us on the water, and congrats to "Rooster" and his partner for their win. You can see the final results on The Bait Tackle and Grill at Goose Ponds Facebook page. Get out and have fun, we did! Mike Carter
