It was definitely hot Sunday. Went out and fished from 7am to 2 pm. Got on some schoolers but could never get the big bite. Marked plenty on the ledges. Caught multiple species. About 1:30 in the heat of the day decided to try a trick worm and BAM game on! When it jumped it looked like twelve pounds. It took four times before Sam could get a net under it pulling ten pound test and diving under the boat. I jumped on the trolling motor at one point to turn the boat and get her back out from beneath the bow and that was when I was able to lift her the fourth time and Sam got the net under her. Didn't have scales but the fish looked huge so put her in livewell and motored to find a boat with scales. I was hoping for ten plus but she came in at 8-11 on the digital scales. I hope they were right because I really wanted that ten plus bad. Still not a bad way to end the day. Thanks Sam for letting me tie on a trick worm and try a few more casts. Lol
