Crappie in texas

Went to pick up a car last weekend in nacogdoches Texas. My father in law took us out on his boat to lake nacogdoches to catch some crappie. Caught around 25 using minnows in the evening. Pretty awesome caught my biggest crappie ever it was about 15"! Fun trip first time to Texas, super hot and super humid.

I caught many crappies there 25 years ago while serving a church mission. It was really great fishing in east Texas for all kinds of fish.....and like you said, VERY hot and humid! We caught a lot of white crappies out there along with black crappies.

When I go to Lake Fork,TX in the springtime the crappie fishing is amazing! It's a long drive but worth it.
