Went out at 4 and the wipers started producing right when the sun started coming up. Lasted for a good hour before it died down. Followed the birds diving down to get em. Jigging right off the bottom was the trick with glowing colors

Granddaughter and I got to the south marina about 6:30, second boat out . Beautiful day , bugs for two hours then gone. First fish about 10:30, second 11:30. Both wipers , about 14 inches.caught on walleye rigs, bouncer and crawler harness. Two fishing poles on side planner boards with rattle traps, four different colors, never got a hit. Fished south west dike to light pole for two fish.
Went to the farm caught two 14 inch cats on worms.
Saw lots of small schools of bait fish. No large schools. No diving birds.
Good fun with her, she does not like the life preserver. Guess I'll have to get a more comfortable one.
