Me and fishluvr are heading to the nell this saturday. I was wondering if any of you other BFTer's wanted to join us?
I have not met any of you yet, and would like to. I have some time on saturday to do some fishing so I'm going. I expect fishing to we fast and ferious so come join us. I'm not much of a mourning person so I wont make it up there till around 11:00. I'll be fishing in the rock cliffs area about 1/4 mile out on the south side by that prominent steep rock point.

My son, daughter, and I will be going up Saturday. We are morning people though, so we'll probably be there as soon as the gates open this week. Guess we had better wait till they open. Tomegun had some advice for me on that, but he hasn't replied back. Said I worried him somehow. Anyway we will be out in the area you described. Hope we cross paths!

I'd like to head up there for a while, What time does the gate open? Can a 2wd Dakota P/U make it any where near the ice? Is a depth sounder really needed? It would be a deal pain to have to It's mount from the boat now let alone the transducer wire.
I used to fish the river a lot before the resivior was impounded and during construction. I think I know the rock cliff you are talking about. Maybe I'll see you.

I think the gate opens at 7:00, you shouldn't have any trouble getting down to the ice in your truck. If everything works out I will be there in the morning also. I will have my 2 boys with me (fishnpro19, fishndude)and I plan to get there about 7:30.

Im not sure..but I believe the last time we headed up that way we got there about 7:00 and the gate was still locked. If my memory serves me correct they dont open until 8:00 I could be wrong.....Anyone else have more info on this?

Well it sounds like everyone is going to make it up there before me (save some fish for me ). I guess I can get up a bit earlier and make it up there by 10:00. Is everyone going to meet at the spot I spoke of on the lake? If not where do you plan on fishing? What kind of fish do you plan on catching? Hope to see you there. I'll be wearing a green and white Nike coat.
