Rockport Robbers...10/13/16

Holy Crap .... Who's stealing all our water? We got to the top of the boat launch area at Rockport today, and had to use binoculars to see the bottom, by the one small dock that's still there...at first it looked like the cement ramp ran out, but when we hiked down for a look, there was still some ramp going out, but covered deep with mud...so for sure you'd want 4 WD backing in and pulling back out...We did, and gave it a try from about 0915 'til 12:30, using 2 downriggers and 2 side-planers...first fish about 10:00, side planer with silver rapala-tipped w/piece of nite crawler...good sized rainbow...2 more (all 16 to 17") before 11:00, on downrigger at 9' down...water depth mostly 20 to 35' where we hooked up....partner also got 2 nicer 'bows...we both got a few 9" releasers that would barely move your rod tip...Jake's Spin a Lure hot today.......It sure was to see another good reservoir so dang low.....I know somebody's stealing our water!!

You're probably right about that -- way too often the ones with the biggest mouths are the only ones that get heard........maybe a whole new topic......check "Squandering Utah's Resources"..... maybe get some ideas....
