Balanced Rock
#1
Went to the park Sat. afternoon to check it out after many years of not being there. It is a very nice park and would be good for a camp out. Also say a young man dressed in mountain man gear head up the creek in his canoe. Made it feel kind of wild for a moment.

Got the 4wt out and tried for some of the small ones rising. They would hit my royal wolf but never got one to get hooked. Did see a couple rises that may have made the frying pan.

Back to the canoe. May need to take mine down there for a afternoon paddle. Looked very relaxing and I am sure there would be a picture or two worthy of a camera shot.

That is a gem isn't it? There is one small beaver dam that you have to go over but you can go a long way up the creek. There is also bass in there. I used to fish up stream a lot when I was into fly fishing a bunch.

Guess the beaver dam is washed out some but further up there is alarge rock in the way, I was told. Bass could be lots of fun. Maybe a canoe trip is coming on a nice day.

When i lived over that way i fished that portion of sfc a bunch. Mostly tinny fish but a blast. There is one other place the road crosses the creek above caselford that i hiked into a few times a few nice trout smallies and some squaw fish
