Mill Meadow Trifecta
#1
Went camping with my boys this weekend down in Southern Utah do some hunting/fishing. It was my first time hunting sage grouse and I was able to fill both tags.

On the way home we decided to stop and fish at Mill Meadow. First time fishing there for me. Set the boys' poles up with power putty and a worm, while I jigged with a gulp minnow. I was able to land a rainbow, a brown, and a tiger oh my. Missed a lot of other hits. My oldest boy caught a brown on a worm as we were leaving. We fished for a couple of hours and were the only ones there.

Overall we had a great weekend!

Great trip and pictures. Congratulations on the grouse! I got my first sage grouse last year and really loved the hunt. They also like to live in places with good fall fishing. Glad you made the most of it.

The stringer looks like a brooke, cutthroat, and tiger but either way great job looks fun for the boys.

Let me know if I'm seeing things.

Thanks for the pictures and report.

You never know what you might catch out of Mill Meadow. There are even a few tiger muskie that make their way down from Johnson Reservoir.

Those boys looked like they were really having fun. Way to get them out to experience the great outdoors.[Smile]

Thanks must be the sun-shade i see their fins are the same but the coloring and spots sure looked different in the photo. I don't think I've ever caught a hen brown either. Anyway thanks for sharing and nice job.
