10-28 pv morning report.
#1
Well I finally got my new boat fishy. Launched from port ramp at first light solo on the boat and the lake. Tried out the new helix 5 si fishfinder. Took a bit to figure out how to work it, but going towards the narrows I started seeing piles of fish at 50. Ended up trying some recommend tactics with a little success. (Dropshotting) found they really seemed to like a 2.5"swim tail storm softbait dropped to the bottom and brought up a couple feet. Little twitch and I was getting good reviews. Very soft bite. Dang muskies kept chewing on my fish on the way up, but they wouldn't take my lures when I tried for them.
The schools I was on moved up to 25' by 11am.
20 crappie 8-11" couple perch, and threw back the smallies that kept surprising me. 6 smallies 7-12".

8-11" crappie looks like I'll have to be sure to make a trip down that way come Ice.
