Ok took a short break today while doing my chores. 12-24-16 Benson marina green sunfish measured at 5 but can only see 4.5" in picture. Another monster but it fills another column. Or do they count in the gill column. Later J

[#0000ff]Since we have gone to Categories of fish instead of individual species, your largest panfish is what will count for your ranking and toward your score. I will keep track of the species contestants post and total inches. So I will add a green sunfish column and include the score from your next post.[/#0000ff]

Benson Marina
Crappie he measured 14" but picture only shows 13.5"
it was a beauty... I need to use my bump board so you see the real size, the tape below looks like the fish isn't as big as it really is... Wish I would have looked at the pictures before I let the fish go, I would have taken another picture... Later J

[#0000ff]Nice slab crappie![/#0000ff]

Bear Lake
Cutthroat 27"
It was actually 27.5" but it's middle sunk in the slush and my camera fell in the water and would take pictures after I got it straight plus it was a native so I had to get it returned ASAP. It was the most beautiful fish I think I've ever caught. What a trophy.

[#0000ff]Ah! That IS a beautiful fish. The current top ranked trout in the Challenge. Nice![/#0000ff]

Ok today but fading fast and was starting to break up in the wind just north of where I was fishing. It won't last long I'm afraid. See my post for more details but about 7" but only 2" of good ice on the bottom. Later J

Do you think the ice will be safe on the south west side still this weekend?

I'm not sure it will still be fishable today. It will be a day by day check and see deal. I hope it's still good but I'm afraid it will be over. Hope it gets cold sooner than expected. Later J

Thanks, I really wasn't looking for him, I wanted his cousin Mr. Mack.... but I was glad he decided to visit anyway... You and your Dad have been rocking the contest this year, I think you've been finding lots of the big boys... Been a lot of fun hasn't it? Sure hate to see it coming to an end... Later J
