Joined the crowds at Echo today...it has slowed down for trout! Last week caught 30 today only 4. Tried for perch in36 feet only picked up a few picky eaters. I hope it's not just me

We were out there too. One guy was targeting trout the rest of us were targeting perch. We ended up with 13 trout, all released but 4 and 50+ perch.

I was wondering how the croud fishing was. I went to the Hiway side. Shuttled some friends (a young military family of four) across with me on the wheeler. They are new at ice fishing but love to open water fish. We crushed the trout. They had a great time and everyone including the kids caught lots of fish.

I've only fished echo a couple of times. I'm taking my 70 year old Mom there on Tuesday and she has never been ice fishing . Would any of you give good locations and what to use? It would be muchly appreciated. As always thanks in advance.

Make sure she has ice cleats. Unless things have changed in the last few days it's pretty slick. PM sent on what to use.

The lake is a sheet of ice. First thing you will need for her is ice cleats. From what I here the pressure at the boat dock has slowed the bite down there. We killed it straight across the reservoir by the rocks under the highway
