Good and bad news at willow pond
#1
The good news was that there was no one on the pond fishing at all. About 50 percent was frozen over so that left some areas open for me to practice my fly casting capability or the lack of. No one could see just how bad I was however I intend to master it some day. I also took my ultra light with my best crank bates and lures which were unable to produce even a bump. After about two hours I soon realized that the ducks were all laughing at me so I hung my head down and went home. I had about as much luck as a 97 year old hooker on Sunset Blvd, so what did I do wrong or is it just the time of year up here?

Hard to tell if you did anything wrong not knowing what you were doing, but you might try Wellsville pond through the ice... fish a small jig near the bottom with a little bait you should do better... Later J
