I'm new to bass fishing (never been before) I bought some tackle that is supposed to work and have done research on rigging up a ned rig and dropshot rig. Does anyone know of some community ponds around the salt lake area that I can try that I may have a decent chance of catching bass off shore? Also any tips you can give me would be helpful.

Bountiful Pond has some decent fish and good access. Some of the canal in Day Break if there is access any more. Good way to learn is to join a BASS Club. Two major sponsors are BASS and FLW. Don't know what clubs are around anymore, but you can go to the main websites and find out !! Good Luck!!!
