Anyone ever try a tube as a trailer for a jig or spinnerbait? Any success with it?

I prefer something that 'stands out' amongst the skirt. If the tube was a different color than the skirt it would work for me but I would imagine there may be trouble keeping it on the hook. I've used Yamamoto Ikas' before on jigs with good success. I use alot of hula grubs, when the tails get bit off or the body is torn I'll cut the skirt off the top with about 1/2" of the body and use it as a trailer on a jig. A cheap alternative to an Ika. I've also glued grubs inside of a tube for jig trailers, neat action.

Tube trailers take away, but if you want bulk they could help I guess but a grub or pork will do so much more....

Thanks guys! I figured that tubes weren't the trailer of choice. Just wondering if anyone had taken a flyer on one, though.

A grub, worm or pork usually will do the job!
