Backpacked into the uintas this last weekend and camped on a lake. Got my fly pole out and walked the shoreline sightcasting for cruising brookies. What a rush to be able to watch the fish the whole time instead of just the fly.

Did you stop at lovena? Its the one just on the other side of the notch. I have yet to get all the way to Ibantic but frequent lovena and always do well with the shore swimmers.
I'm headed up there in a week and a half. I'm excited.

no didnt stop there. i did last time but only caught one cause it was shallow ans once i caught one the rest spooked away. ibantik is a pretty cool little lake though well worth the extra ten minute walk ha ha

all on dries. pretty much anything worked
