At what water temp do the cats really get active? I have only fished for them in mid June .

Sixty degrees seems to be the trigger point. Mid-sixties really gets them going... carp, cats, and white bass. Cats are active all summer after the temps stay above 60 degrees.
I fished Lincoln this a.m. and the water temp was 62-63 degrees. The cats were very active. Many of the males are starting to show battle scars as they compete for nesting areas. Weekend cold spell might slow them a bit but now on into summer is the time when they are the most active. BLK [signature]

At this moment, it is 68.7 degrees on the north shore. We are catching some but it isn't hot catching.
